Moroccan women’s groups are challenging their status as second class citizens in the eyes of the law and of their community. In a society that practices polygamy, where divorce doesn’t need a woman’s consent, and where 70% of women are illiterate they are speaking out to challenge the status quo. The women behind the groups tell their courageous stories and point the way forward.
